Educating Communities About Eating Disorders Research, Prevention and Treatment
Providing professional training opportunities along with community awareness and education are at the cornerstone of our mission at the Walden Center for Education and Research.
Our annual conferences in Massachusetts and Connecticut share with health care professionals cutting-edge treatment research and the implications it has for clinical work today.
Our School-Based Eating Disorder Prevention Program provides teachers, school administrators and parents with general or specific education about eating disorders, body image, re-integration into school after eating disorder treatment and weight-sensitivity trainings. Prevention programs for students in grades 5 through 12 are also available.
Finally, Walden Center works in conjunction with clinical staff at Walden Behavioral Care to provide trainings for professionals in the medical, nutritional and psychological fields.
